Caramel
This is Caramel and he and his brother Toffee are the reason we decided
to start breeding Ragdoll cats.
My wife had mentioned Ragdoll Cats to me on several occasions but I had
never seen one. I was looking through the local paper one day and noticed
an add for Ragdoll Cross kittens. My curiosity got the better of me and
I went to have a look at them.
There were 2 that obviously had mostly Ragdoll in them and not being able
to pick one I took both. As they grew they both looked like Ragdolls but
Caramel definately had more a Ragdoll temperament. He was floppy, cuddly,
loved people and even put up with my 3 year old granddaughter.
He would lay flat on his back while our 3 Siberian huskies licked him all over.
He had no fear of anything. He was mostly an indoor cat and only went out briefly.
It was on one of these brief outings that he just wandered out into the middle of
the road and was hit by a car.
Again we were devastated. Caramel is the reason we decided to breed Ragdoll cats.
We still have his brother Toffee who is really a normal cat in a Ragdolls body.
But we love him anyway.
